May 1st is Labor Day in Italy. There was a free concert in a piazza (plaza) close to my B&B, so Luca and Nicole took me along to the festivities. There were just a few other people there - Luca thinks around 300,000.... The concert started at 3pm but it was a rainy, chilly day. We got there after 9pm and stayed until it ended at midnight. I heard what I would call Italian rap, some headbanging music as well as good ol' Rock and Roll. A super fun night with great, GREAT people.

Roberto knows about as much English as I do Italian - but the more beer we drank, the more we were able to somehow communicate... Weird....
He could say 4 words very well - Chicago Bulls & Michael Jordan!
This looks SOOO fun! And I know it is warmer in "bella RRRRoma" than it is in friggin frigid old Chi-town, you lucky chick! I hope you feel better soon and can't wait to catch up in August - don't forget about me and go bookin' my sofa to somebody else ok?? :) CIAO for NOW! - Kelly
